Turnitin Screened Strict Thresholds

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism involves presenting someone else’s work, ideas, or language as your own without proper attribution. This includes:

  • Verbatim Copying: Using text from sources without quotation marks and citations.
  • Paraphrasing: Summarizing others' work without proper acknowledgment.
  • Visual Plagiarism: Using images, tables, or graphs without permission or citation.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant portions of your own previously published work.
AI-Generated Content Policy

The use of AI tools to generate content is discouraged. If used for drafting or refinement, it must be disclosed in the "Acknowledgments" section. AI-generated text must not exceed 20% of the total manuscript.

Similarity Screening

We screen all submissions using Turnitin and strictly enforce the following:

  • Overall Similarity Index: Must not exceed 10%.
  • Single Source Similarity: Must not exceed 3%.

Actions Against Misconduct

If plagiarism is confirmed, the journal will take the following actions:

  • Rejection: Immediate rejection of the submission.
  • Retraction: Published articles found to contain plagiarism will be formally retracted.
  • Reporting: The journal reserves the right to report confirmed misconduct to the author’s institution.
